We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, working on ecology/forestry project on a construction/highways site.
To systematically and efficiently manage contractual arrangements through the whole post award life cycle in order to maximise financial and operational performance ensuring that: -
· the arrangements for service delivery continue to be exceptional
· the expected business benefits and value for money are being achieved
· contracted suppliers are co-operative and responsive
· disputes are rare
· there are no surprises
· the arrangement is continuously improving, and additional business benefits are being realised
Essential Criteria |
Experienced manager with a proven track record of delivering contracted services within our sector |
Able to communicate clearly and concisely to a wide range of people both inside and outside the organisation |
Able to deal with contractors positively developing a co-operative and trusted relationship but in a way that ensures that the Council receives value for money |
Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems |
Project Management skills |

· Responsible for ensuring that all parties to the arrangement are delivering against their obligations · Responsible for the on-going management of risk associated with the arrangement/s. · Responsible for the effective commercial management of the arrangement/s · Responsible for the effective monitoring of compliance and performance and using that information to effectively manage the arrangement/s · Responsible for verifying expenditure and authorising the payment of invoices · Responsible for the effective management of any 'change' impacting on the arrangement/s · Responsible for ensuring that the anticipated benefits are being tracked and realised
