💷 Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Libraries NI for a reliable and motivated Cleaner to support operations across Brownlow and Portadown Libraries.

This is a part-time opportunity working across two busy library locations, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Working Pattern

This role operates across a two-week rota at both locations:

Brownlow Library

Week 1

• Monday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
• Tuesday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
• Wednesday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
• Friday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Week 2

• Monday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
• Tuesday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
• Wednesday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
• Friday: 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Portadown Library

Week 1

• Monday: 8:45am - 12:15pm
• Tuesday: 9:15am - 11:45am
• Wednesday: 9:15am - 11:45am
• Thursday: 9:15am - 11:15am
• Friday: 9:15am - 11:15am

Week 2

• Tuesday: 9:15am - 11:45am
• Wednesday: 9:15am - 11:15am
• Thursday: 9:15am - 11:15am
• Friday: 9:15am - 11:15am
• Saturday: 9:15am - 1:15pm

Flexibility is required as working patterns may be subject to change.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties across designated areas of both libraries
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ensure all public and staff areas are safe and presentable
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Essential Criteria

• Previous cleaning experience (outside of a home environment)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Willingness to undertake any required training

Additional Information

• Basic Access NI clearance required
• No equipment required to be supplied by the worker
• Travel between both library locations is required
