Location: Loughgall
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Overview
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Premises Officer based in Loughgall. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy site. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilities management, administration, and health & safety operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide front-of-house support, including reception duties and operating the switchboard
Handle incoming calls, queries, deliveries, post, and courier services
Support site security, including managing access and the security barrier
Assist the Fire Officer in the event of a fire or emergency situation
Issue permits to work and brief contractors on site procedures (including asbestos register awareness)
Direct contractors using site maps and manage key control and permit filing
Carry out Fire Warden duties, including:
- Weekly and monthly fire checks
- Fire alarm testing across multiple buildings
- Maintaining accurate fire safety records
Monitor oil tank levels and arrange deliveries as required
Complete and submit monthly oil usage returns
Manage vehicle administration, including:
- Booking MOTs and ensuring compliance (tax/insurance)
- Coordinating repairs for pooled vehicles
- Maintaining vehicle booking systems and calendars
Provide reprographics support (photocopying, documentation)
Order and manage stationery and protective clothing (PPE)
Process PPE requests and track distribution
Report building defects via the AMPS system
Conduct weekly defibrillator checks
Support seasonal activities such as:
- Snow and salt clearance coordination
- Road closure signage arrangements
Input industrial wages and respond to wage queries
Carry out general administrative and ad hoc duties as required
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths (Grade C or above)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Facilities or premises experience
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent in using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
