Administrator - Band 3
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Temporary Administrator (Band 3) to join their team based at Lisnally House, Armagh, within the Children and Young People's Directorate.
Role Details
- Position: Administrator
- Band: 3
- Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour
- Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Location: Lisnally House, Armagh
- Contract Duration: Until 13 November 2026
Role Overview
The post holder will provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to the Team Leader and other staff within the Children and Young People's Directorate.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise with Team Managers, administrative staff, and members of the public on matters relating to Social Services.
- Undertake routine administrative duties including filing, arranging appointments, diary management, distributing incoming mail, handling routine correspondence, receiving telephone calls, and working in accordance with established procedures.
- Distribute circulars and leaflets as required.
- Attend meetings as requested, including Child Protection Case Conferences, Looked After Children Reviews, Case Planning Meetings, and Strategy Meetings, taking and distributing minutes.
- Compile routine and non-routine correspondence for signature.
- Type and word process correspondence, reports, and agendas.
- Maintain computerised records as required.
- Record and prepare statistical information using Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare files for opening and closure.
- Maintain stationery supplies and place orders when required.
- Process forms relating to conferences and training courses.
- Provide switchboard cover as and when required.
- Participate in staff appraisal and personal development processes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of office policies, procedures, and systems.
- Liaise with staff across all disciplines within the Trust as appropriate.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience of minute taking in a formal setting
AND EITHER:
- 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language, or equivalent/higher qualification plus 1 year's experience in a clerical or administrative role
OR
2 years' experience in a clerical or administrative role
Hold a full, current driving licence and have access to a car on appointment
