Job Summary / Main Purpose

The post holder will be responsible for a wide range of clerical tasks to enable the effective and efficient recording, storage, and provision of information required by the Team. They will provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to include word processing, data input, participation in quality assurance exercises, diary management, and other tasks relevant to their level of responsibility as required

Key duties / responsibilities

  1. To undertake a range of admin support duties including, making appointments, maintaining diaries, receiving, processing and distributing incoming mail, personally dealing with routine items, provision of typing and admin support to senior staff.
  1. Co-ordinate and process a range of correspondence in accordance with agreed procedures within area of responsibility.

Deal with incoming/outgoing mail and ensure that mail is distributed and redirected appropriately to relevant staff and in a timely manner

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Qualifications

4 GCSEs at Grades A-C / 9-4 to include English Language or equivalent / higher qualification AND 1 year's experience in a clerical / administrative role

OR NVQ Level II in Administration / other Higher Qualification, and 1 year's experience in a clerical / administrative role

OR

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clerical / administrative role

Experience

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel, or equivalent

Ability to work as part of a team
