This role is central to delivering a professional, confidential and customer‑focused HR service, supporting HR operations including resourcing, employee life‑cycle administration, payroll liaison, and maintaining accurate HR systems and records. </p><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Provide high‑quality administrative support across the HR function in line with policy, legislation and GDPR. <a href="https://rssglobal-my.sharepoint.com/personal/jane_lewsley_therecruitmentco_uk/_layouts/15/Doc.aspx?sourcedoc={3F60A1ED-CC8D-453E-A7CF-EEE9E29E898F}&amp;file=HR Administrator Employee Services.docx&amp;action=default&amp;mobileredirect=true">[HR Adminis...e Services | Word]</a></li><li>Maintain and update HR systems (PAMS, MIS, Pharos) and ensure data accuracy.</li><li>Prepare HR correspondence including contracts, maternity/paternity documentation, leave entitlements and probation records.</li><li>Support monthly HR/Payroll processes, including providing accurate payroll instructions and updates.</li><li>Manage annual leave records, queries and end‑of‑year leave procedures.</li><li>Handle sickness absence data, input fit notes and maintain accurate attendance records.</li><li>Support recruitment processes including issuing notifications, organising assessments and liaising with candidates.</li><li>Monitor HR inboxes, respond to queries professionally and escalate where required.</li><li>Maintain filing systems, employee records and documentation in accordance with retention policies.</li><li>Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Assist with producing HR reports, statistics and management information.</li><li>Provide note‑taking support for HR meetings.</li><li>Ensure stock levels and office supplies are maintained.</li><li>Support HR events, audits and continuous improvement activities.</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></h2><p>Candidates must have:</p><ul><li><em>5 GCSEs (A-C / 9-4) including English and Maths</em>* <em>or</em> equivalent.</li><li><strong>At least 1 year's experience</strong> in a demanding office environment performing a range of business support tasks (or 2 years without GCSE requirements).</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook</strong>.</li><li>Experience delivering excellent customer service.</li><li>Strong planning, organisational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></h2><ul><li>Experience working in <strong>HR administration</strong> in a large, multi‑site organisation.</li><li>HR qualification (achieved or working towards).</li><li>Public‑sector or local government experience.</li></ul></div><p> </p>
