Throughout February, TV Licensing will begin writing to the public to let them know that the government funded free Licences for over 75’s will come to an end on 31st May.
To be more specific, households with anyone over the age of 75 in receipt of Pension Credit will still receive a free TV Licence, it is those households not in receipt of Pension Credit that will need to purchase their next TV Licence.
For many this will be the first time in over 5 years that they have needed to purchase a TV Licence and we anticipate that many customers will be seeking assistance from the customer service team to get a payment scheme in place.
