Personal Specification

Royal Mail Group are currently seeking staff for temporary positions throughout the UK; from Mail Sorters to Class 1 drivers, from Postmen and women to multi-drop delivery drivers

Each role details the key attributes that play an important part in ensuring a candidate is a good fit for the role and that the role is a good fit for the candidate but there are some attributes that are important for all positions throughout Royal Mail Group.

You'll need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and it's essential that you are able and willing to move seamlessly between tasks in order to keep the mail moving.

You will be punctual, detail focused and possess a flexible attitude to work. You'll also be able to remain calm during a particularly busy period, focusing on the task at hand.

You should be as happy working alone as you will be working as part of a wider team to ensure that together you are contributing to a welcoming, diverse environment where you can make a real impact.

A strong sense of community is extremely important as is the desire to get to know the different customers you encounter. Some experience in a customer-facing role would be ideal.

The idea of doing a job that involves shift patterns will appeal as will working outdoors whatever the weather, particularly for our Postmen and Postwomen.

For roles with driving, including HGV Class 1 Drivers  and Multi-drop 3.5T or 7T drivers, a full driving licence with no more than six penalty points is essential.
