Blue Arrow is proud to be a signatory of the Race at Work Charter, a national initiative led by Business in the Community (BITC). The charter aims to tackle racial inequality in UK workplaces. Joining over 1,100 organisations, we’ve committed to taking meaningful action to ensure our workforce reflects the diversity of British society today.
The Charter is composed of seven calls to action for leaders and organisations across all sectors. Signing the Charter means taking practical steps to tackling the barriers that Black, Asian, Mixed Raced and other ethnically diverse people face in recruitment and career progression. These steps aim to ensure our organisation better reflects the diversity of British society today.
What Is the Race at Work Charter?
The Charter is built around seven key commitments that help leaders and organisations across all sectors take practical steps to create inclusive and equitable environments for ethnically diverse employees:
1. Appoint an Executive Sponsor for Race
2. Capture and Publish Ethnicity Data
3. Ensure Zero Tolerance of Harassment and Bullying
4. Make Equality Everyone’s Responsibility
5. Support Career Progression for Ethnic Minority Talent
6. Promote Allyship Across the Organisation
7. Include Diverse-Led Businesses in Supply Chains
These principles are designed to drive real change in recruitment, career progression, and workplace culture.
