<h2><strong>Welding Supervisor - £40,000 per annum</strong></h2><p><strong>Hours:</strong> Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Sudbury</p><p><strong>Industry:</strong> Welding / Fabrication / Manufacturing</p><h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Welding Supervisor</strong> to oversee day‑to‑day operations within a busy welding and fabrication environment. This is a key role responsible for ensuring production runs smoothly, maintaining high safety standards, and leading operational activities across the workshop and warehouse.</p><p>You will act as the main point of contact for production performance, staff coordination, and quality expectations, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal processes.</p><hr /><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Oversee daily welding and fabrication operations to ensure efficient workflow.</li><li>Supervise production staff and support team development.</li><li>Maintain and enforce Health &amp; Safety standards across the site.</li><li>Ensure compliance with <strong>RWC EN 1090 (1, 2, &amp; 3)</strong> requirements.</li><li>Manage warehouse activity including goods in/out, stock control, and material handling.</li><li>Monitor production targets, deadlines, and quality checks.</li><li>Complete operational reporting and maintain accurate documentation.</li><li>Liaise with management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support with training, problem‑solving, and technical welding queries.</li></ul><hr /><h3><strong>Skills &amp; Experience Required</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience in a <strong>Welding Supervisor</strong> or <strong>Production Supervisor</strong> role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>EN 1090 standards</strong> (1, 2 &amp; 3).</li><li>Good understanding of welding processes and fabrication methods.</li><li>Previous experience in a warehouse or workshop operations environment.</li><li>Confident IT skills, including <strong>Excel</strong> and general systems literacy.</li><li>Excellent organisational and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to lead, motivate, and support a production team.</li></ul><hr /><h3><strong>What We Offer</strong></h3><ul><li>Competitive salary of <strong>£40,000</strong></li><li>Stable Monday-Friday hours</li><li>Opportunity to take ownership of operations within a growing company</li><li>Supportive working environment</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
