This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or manager to join a busy Waste Operations team on a temporary basis for approximately two months. The role supports the day-to-day management of waste services, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and in line with service standards. Based on the attached job outline and person specification.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Support the day-to-day operational management of waste services.</li><li>Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Deputise for the Team Leader when required.</li><li>Assist with budget management, purchasing, and resource planning.</li><li>Support health and safety compliance across the operation.</li><li>Organise team briefings, depot meetings, and workforce communications.</li><li>Assist with staff management, attendance monitoring, recruitment, training, and development.</li><li>Support fleet management activities and compliance with driver regulations.</li><li>Investigate incidents, insurance claims, and service-related issues as required.</li></ul>Essential Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience managing or supervising staff.</li><li>Strong organisational, communication, and administration skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment.</li><li>Ability to prioritise workloads and make informed decisions.</li></ul> Desirable<ul><li>Experience within waste management, environmental services, fleet management, or similar operational environments.</li><li>Health &amp; Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH).</li></ul> If you have operational management experience and are available for an immediate start, we'd love to hear from you.
