<h2>Street Cleansing Driver</h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> Brighton, BN1</p><p><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £13.69 per hour</p><p><strong>Shift Pattern:</strong> 6-Day Rolling Rota</p><p><strong>Available Shifts:</strong></p><ul><li>AM Shift: 05:00-13:00 or 06:00-14:00</li><li>PM Shift: 13:39-22:00</li></ul><p>We are currently recruiting Street Cleansing Drivers to support Environmental Services operations across Brighton. This role combines driving duties with hands-on cleansing work and offers applicants the choice of either AM or PM shifts.</p><h3> </h3><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Drive council vans between designated cleansing locations.</li><li>Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.</li><li>Support street cleansing activities including litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and waste collection.</li><li>Transport equipment, waste, and materials safely between sites.</li><li>Follow allocated routes, schedules, and operational instructions.</li><li>Complete vehicle and operational records accurately.</li><li>Ensure waste is handled and disposed of in accordance with relevant procedures.</li><li>Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Full UK driving licence with van driving entitlement.</li><li>Previous van driving experience is preferred.</li><li>Strong awareness of safe driving and health and safety practices.</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.</li><li>Reliable, professional, and flexible in approach.</li><li>Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul><p><strong>Immediate starts available for suitable candidates.
