Blue Arrow are recruiting a Logistics Clerk who will work within the UK Logistics team, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the UK logistics office across all UK logistics activities.Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pmSalary: £27,000 per annumWhat you'll do:<ul><li>To facilitate the shipment of multiple product samples and orders to customers on a daily basis</li><li>To liaise and arrange shipments by interaction with various courier and freight forwarder companies (e.g. DHL, UPS, Fedex etc)</li><li>To collate/arrange required essential and correct paperwork documentation to accompany shipments (including invoices/USDA when necessary, Certificates of Analysis, Safety data sheets, dispatch e-mails)</li><li>To assist in the preparation of samples/orders by labelling (printing and affixing labels), preparing documents (as listed above), and packaging correctly</li><li>To liaise with other departments including R&amp;D, QC, QA and production teams in order to advance product preparation ready for dispatch</li><li>To help maintain the required level of Health and Safety and housekeeping within the sample/order dispatch area</li><li>To carry out other duties as and when required as directed by Management</li><li>Receipt, review and dispatch P UK and AG orders dispatched from Romania, China, USA and the UK to allow for invoicing</li><li>Prepare accurately all customs documentation for the correct and timely import of goods arriving from factories -following Brexit guidelines for Romanian imports</li><li>Review receipts of incoming stock and maintain an accurate stock record</li><li>Liaise with transport and outsourced warehouse to ensure the timely arrival of incoming trucks and containers, and confirming outgoing orders are delivered</li><li>Liaise with outsourced warehouse to ensure timely pick, pack and dispatch of orders</li><li>Prepare accurately all dispatch documentation and ensure compliance with export requirements relating to the dispatch of UK Bioprocessing orders, core product, and any other shipping need</li><li>Ensure dangerous goods qualification is up to date and issue DG paperwork when relevant (sea and road also may be a possibility)</li><li>Provide sales offices with prompt shipping details and relevant shipping documents</li><li>Follow up on outbound shipments to confirm delivery</li><li>Maintain good and effective communication with the sales office</li><li>Monthly stock reconciliation with outsourced warehouse to ensure the records match</li><li>Problem solving of issues with stock records and dispatches</li><li>File and archive documentation</li><li>Carry out reasonable duties as required by the needs of the department or organization,</li></ul>What you'll need:<ul><li>The role requires a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above to include English and Mathematics, or equivalent</li><li>IT literate with a good level of experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.</li><li>Knowledge of the chemical sciences would be beneficial.</li><li>SAP experience preferred, preferably in the logistics function.</li><li>Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels.</li><li>Be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work with the minimum supervision, whilst at the same time being a strong team player.</li><li>IATA DG by air training desirable</li><li>Ability to respond quickly to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining high level of quality.</li></ul>If you have the relevant skills and experience for the role, please apply.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
