<h3><strong>Weekend Street Cleansing Operatives - Brighton (BN1)</strong></h3><p>£20.54 per hour | Saturday &amp; Sunday | Immediate Start</p><p>We are currently recruiting for 2 Cleansing Operatives to join a busy environmental services team in Brighton (BN1). This is a weekend role, ideal for reliable drivers looking for well‑paid, outdoor work supporting local parks and public spaces.</p><h3><strong>Hours</strong></h3><ul><li>Saturday &amp; Sunday</li><li>13:39 - 22:00</li></ul><h3><strong>Contract</strong></h3><ul><li>Start date: <strong>ASAP</strong></li><li>Runs until <strong>end of August</strong></li><li>Paid £20.54 per hour</li></ul><h3><strong>Duties Include</strong></h3><ul><li>Working across multiple sites and locations</li><li>Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting basic maintenance issues</li><li>General cleansing duties across parks and public areas, including:<ul><li>Litter picking</li><li>Bin changing</li><li>Sweeping and clearing hazardous items from playgrounds</li><li>Removing weeds, detritus, and fly‑tipping</li></ul></li><li>Following set routes, schedules, and instructions</li><li>Safe and correct waste disposal in line with legislation and council procedures</li><li>Wearing and maintaining PPE at all times</li><li>Maintaining clear communication with supervisors and team members</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions</li><li>Good attention to detail and safety awareness</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently</li><li>Ability to walk 7-10 miles per day </li><li>Work flexible hours across the 5 days </li><li>Lift and carry some heavy and awkward shaped loads </li><li>Interact with and assist members of the public </li><li>Remain self-motivated to work hard </li><li>Work outside in all weather conditions </li></ul><p> </p><h3><strong>Induction</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Please note inductions may be held for 3 days during the week, prior to starting your weekend shift pattern.</strong></li></ul><p>This is a great opportunity to earn strong weekend pay while helping keep Brighton's parks and green spaces clean and safe.</p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
