This role is ideal for a detail‑focused professional with strong environmental, regulatory, and auditing experience within industrial, waste, manufacturing, or similar environments.You will take a proactive role in implementing environmental best practice, supporting internal audits, managing documentation, and advising operational teams on compliance requirements.<hr style="text-align: center;" /> Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Compliance<ul><li>Work in accordance with SHEQ policies and internal procedures.</li><li>Monitor and report on environmental management activities across the facilities.</li><li>Lead environmental permit reporting and notifications.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Quality<ul><li>Update environmental management documents and support staff environmental awareness training.</li><li>Liaise with regulators and service providers to collate and maintain compliance records.</li><li>Use internal business systems such as CODA, SharePoint, and EPRAIS.</li></ul>Audits &amp; Inspections<ul><li>Lead environmental audits, produce reports, and manage corrective actions.</li><li>Support external audits (EA, HSE, BSI, etc.).</li></ul>Projects &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Contribute to environmental management projects.</li><li>Lead the Waste Audit Team and support quarterly sampling requirements.</li></ul>Stakeholder Engagement<ul><li>Provide environmental guidance to site teams.</li><li>Attend business meetings, briefings, and operational sessions.</li></ul>Team Leadership<ul><li>Line-manage a team of Waste Auditors.</li></ul><hr style="text-align: center;" /> About YouEssential Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>CIWM (WAMITAB) Level 4 (Medium Risk Non-Hazardous Waste Treatment &amp; Transfer).</li><li>3-5 years' experience in a similar Environmental Advisor role.</li><li>Experience working with regulators (EA, HSE, etc.).</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.</li><li>Good knowledge of audit processes, environmental reporting, and quality systems.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes<ul><li>Strong organisational and documentation skills.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Confident communicator with leadership capability.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management systems.</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2).</li><li>NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications.</li><li>Experience with business systems like Mainsaver, TMS, EPRAIS, and CODA.</li></ul><hr style="text-align: center;" /> Benefits:<ul><li>26 days annual leave + bank holidays (additional leave awarded after long service)</li><li>Company pension (up to 5% matched)</li><li>Death in Service cover (4× basic salary)</li><li>Sick pay in line with company policy</li><li>Paid overtime (time and a half Mon-Sat, double time Sundays/Bank Holidays)</li></ul> How to ApplyTo apply simply hit the apply button or call 0161 228 7542.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
