<h1><strong>Facilities Manager</strong></h1><p><strong>Salary: £35,000-£42,000 | Full‑time, On‑site</strong></p><p>We are partnering with an organisation seeking an experienced and hands‑on Facilities Manager to take ownership of a busy operational site. This role offers the opportunity to lead a multi‑functional onsite services team while ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the building and its associated services.</p><hr /><h2><strong>The Role</strong></h2><p>The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the building, grounds, and workplace services. You'll oversee a small onsite team covering areas such as reception, catering, and maintenance, while also managing external contractors across cleaning, security, and engineering disciplines.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Managing daily operations for the building and surrounding areas</li><li>Leading and developing an onsite services team</li><li>Driving planned preventative maintenance and supporting with hands‑on tasks when required</li><li>Overseeing building infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems</li><li>Managing supplier and contractor performance, from procurement through to ongoing oversight</li><li>Ensuring compliance with Health &amp; Safety legislation and carrying out regular inspections and risk assessments</li><li>Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and producing relevant reports</li><li>Leading space planning, refurbishments, and small works or improvement projects</li><li>Overseeing site security protocols, incident response, and risk management processes</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>Candidate Profile</strong></h2><ul><li>5+ years' experience in a facilities management role</li><li>Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)</li><li>Experience managing contractors, budgets, and small teams</li><li>Strong knowledge of Health &amp; Safety compliance</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities</li><li>Full clean UK driving licence</li><li>Desirable qualifications: NEBOSH/IOSH, Legionella Responsible Person</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>What's on Offer</strong></h2><ul><li>A key operational position within a busy and varied site</li><li>The chance to lead a supportive, multi‑disciplinary onsite team</li><li>A hands‑on, engaging role with plenty of autonomy</li><li>Full‑time, on‑site position with key‑holder responsibilities</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
