<h2>HR Assistant (Fixed Term - 3 Months)</h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> Office based - Springburn</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday</p><p><strong>Pay:</strong> £19 per hour</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> Fixed term (3 months)</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong> PVG clearance essential</p><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>We are seeking an HR Assistant to provide proactive administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, personnel file digitisation, flexible working and payroll activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment legislation and GDPR.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><p><strong>Recruitment &amp; Onboarding</strong></p><ul><li>Provide end‑to‑end recruitment administration, ensuring a professional candidate experience.</li><li>Process Authority to Recruit documentation and support approval processes.</li><li>Prepare and publish job adverts; format job descriptions in line with templates.</li><li>Coordinate interview arrangements, prepare interview packs and manage candidate records.</li><li>Issue candidate correspondence, offers, contracts and contract variations.</li><li>Administer pre-employment checks (PVG, references, right to work).</li><li>Support onboarding and liaise with ICT and relevant teams to ensure system access and equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Personnel File Digitisation</strong></p><ul><li>Review, cleanse and digitise personnel files in line with GDPR and retention schedules.</li><li>Scan, upload and quality-check records within the HRIS.</li><li>Ensure confidentiality, data accuracy and secure storage of records.</li><li>Liaise with HR and Payroll to resolve discrepancies.</li></ul><p><strong>Flexible Working</strong></p><ul><li>Administer flexible working requests in line with policy and legislation.</li><li>Coordinate documentation and circulate requests for consideration.</li></ul><p><strong>Payroll &amp; HR Systems</strong></p><ul><li>Process routine payroll-related payments and invoices using the P2P system.</li><li>Maintain accurate employee records on the HRIS (starters, leavers, changes).</li></ul><h3>Qualifications &amp; Experience</h3><ul><li>CIPD qualified (or working towards) with evidence of CPD.</li><li>Experience supporting end-to-end recruitment processes.</li><li>Experience working with HR systems and Microsoft Office.</li><li>Knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, GDPR, right to work and references.</li><li>Public sector or education experience desirable.</li></ul><h3>Skills &amp; Competencies</h3><ul><li>Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Confident using digital systems and document management tools.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work with confidential data.</li><li>Proactive, solution-focused and a strong team player.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
