<h2><strong>Facilities Manager</strong></h2><p>📍 <strong>Isle of Wight - Leisure Site</strong></p><p><strong>Salary:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>£40,423 per year</strong> </li><li><strong>£34,531 per year</strong> </li></ul><hr /><h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Facilities Manager</strong> to lead facilities operations at a large leisure site on the Isle of Wight. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the site is safe, clean, compliant, and well‑maintained, while delivering a positive experience for guests and colleagues.</p><p>Reporting to the <strong>Regional Facilities Manager</strong> and working closely with the <strong>General Manager</strong>, you will oversee maintenance, housekeeping, contractors, and statutory compliance, while creating a strong, motivated facilities team.</p><hr /><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><h4><strong>Guest Experience &amp; Site Standards</strong></h4><ul><li>Maintain excellent standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation across the site</li><li>Ensure guest accommodation, buildings, and grounds are maintained to a high standard</li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to guest queries, issues, and feedback</li><li>Coordinate maintenance works with minimal disruption to guests</li><li>Ensure activity and leisure facilities are safe, compliant, and ready for use</li></ul><h4><strong>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></h4><ul><li>Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health &amp; safety requirements, and internal policies</li><li>Carry out regular site inspections to identify and resolve risks</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation, certifications, and audit records</li><li>Support legal, safety, and environmental standards across the site</li></ul><h4><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Operations</strong></h4><ul><li>Line manage facilities, maintenance, housekeeping teams, and on‑site contractors</li><li>Build a positive team culture focused on quality, safety, and teamwork</li><li>Organise rotas, daily inspections, housekeeping schedules, and deep cleaning programmes</li><li>Hold regular 1:1 meetings to support performance, wellbeing, and development</li></ul><h4><strong>Planning, Budgets &amp; Collaboration</strong></h4><ul><li>Manage CapEx and OpEx budgets with strong cost control</li><li>Coordinate procurement of equipment and supplies</li><li>Report performance and site issues to the Regional Facilities Manager</li><li>Support emergency planning, centre projects, and senior leadership activity</li></ul><hr /><h3><strong>About You</strong></h3><ul><li>Proven experience in <strong>facilities, estates, or building management</strong></li><li>Confident managing <strong>teams and external contractors</strong></li><li>Strong working knowledge of <strong>health &amp; safety and compliance</strong></li><li>Practical, organised, and solution‑focused</li><li>Customer‑focused with strong problem‑solving skills</li><li>Comfortable working in a busy, guest‑facing leisure environment</li><li>Flexible and adaptable to operational change</li></ul><hr /><h3><strong>What We Offer</strong></h3><ul><li>Competitive salary with <strong>live‑on accommodation option</strong></li><li>Opportunity to work at a <strong>unique leisure site location on the Isle of Wight</strong></li><li>A leadership role with autonomy and variety</li><li>Supportive environment with scope for development</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
