The Role

This is a flexible and varied position, offering the chance to work in a wide range of settings including restaurants, hotels, contract catering sites, pubs, and seasonal event venues. As a Relief Chef, you will step into different kitchens, providing essential support and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. This role also includes opportunities to work at busy seasonal events such as festivals, sporting events, and large-scale functions, making it ideal for chefs who enjoy a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard
• Supporting kitchen teams during busy periods or staff shortages
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards at all times
• Adapting quickly to different menus, teams, and kitchen environments
• Assisting with high-volume catering during peak seasonal events
• Ensuring efficient kitchen operations and service delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience as a chef in professional kitchen environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Flexibility to work across different sites, including event locations
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• A reliable and professional approach
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
