The Role

As a Relief Chef, you will work across a variety of settings including schools, care homes, hospitals, and other secure environments. This is a flexible role ideal for chefs who thrive in different kitchens and enjoy the variety of short-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in line with site requirements
• Working to strict food safety and hygiene standards
• Adapting to different kitchen environments and teams
• Supporting existing kitchen staff during busy periods or staff shortages
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant workspace

Requirements

• Valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Proven experience as a chef in contract catering or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
• Flexibility to travel to different locations and work varied shifts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability and a positive, professional attitude
