(gross)</h3><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to support the overall upkeep, safety, and presentation of a commercial property. The successful candidate will help ensure the building operates safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.</p><hr /><h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1><ul><li>Carry out general day‑to‑day maintenance tasks as directed by the Facilities Management team.</li><li>Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance issues and complete tasks within agreed timelines.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections of communal areas, plant rooms, lighting, fire safety systems, and other essential infrastructure.</li><li>Support the delivery of the planned preventative maintenance programme.</li><li>Oversee and coordinate contractors when required, ensuring full compliance with Health &amp; Safety procedures.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records and escalate major issues when necessary.</li><li>Perform weekly fire alarm tests and other mandatory compliance checks.</li><li>Provide occasional out‑of‑hours support for urgent building matters.</li><li>Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with regulatory standards.</li></ul><hr /><h1><strong>Candidate Profile </strong></h1><ul><li>Experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities‑related role.</li><li>Practical knowledge across general building trades, including basic plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and decorating.</li><li>Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive, "can‑do" approach.</li><li>Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and contractors.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and awareness of Health &amp; Safety requirements.</li><li>Ability to prioritise workloads and manage time efficiently.</li><li>Basic IT literacy for record‑keeping and communication.</li><li>Eligibility to work in the UK.</li></ul><hr /><h1><strong>What's on Offer</strong></h1><ul><li>A full‑time, on‑site position with stable working hours (Monday to Friday).</li><li>Salary range of £30,000-£32,000 p.a.</li><li>Key holder responsibilities and the opportunity to take ownership of the building's daily standards.</li><li>A varied and practical role covering both internal and external maintenance.</li><li>Occasional flexibility for out‑of‑hours support where required.</li><li>A hands‑on position suited to someone who enjoys problem solving and maintaining a high‑quality environment.</li></ul><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
