Job Title: Onsite Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Bugbrooke NorthantsReports to: Maintenance Manager Job Purpose:To ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the flour and feed mill by performing routine maintenance, keeping the site clean and safe, and conducting audits as required to maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain cleanliness across the site, including production areas, storage facilities, and common spaces.</li><li>Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Identify and report potential hazards or equipment faults promptly.</li><li>Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs.</li><li>Support production teams with technical troubleshooting when necessary.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, audits, and inspections.</li><li>Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.</li><li>Ensure all work complies with H&amp;S legislation and company policies.</li><li>Carry out risk assessments before starting maintenance tasks.</li><li>Report and escalate any safety incidents or near misses immediately.</li><li>Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools and chemicals.</li><li>Participate in safety drills and training sessions.</li></ul> Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment (preferred).</li><li>Basic mechanical knowledge.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Good communication and record-keeping skills.</li><li>Understanding of Health &amp; Safety regulations and safe working practices.</li></ul> Working Conditions:<ul><li>Onsite role within a flour and feed milling environment.</li><li>May involve working in dusty conditions and wearing appropriate PPE.</li><li>Flexible to work shifts alternate weekends as required.</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
