<h2><strong>Shop Manager - Charity Retail (London)</strong></h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> London (ad hoc cover across multiple stores)</p><p><strong>Pay:</strong> £13.85 per hour</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> Temporary on-going (must be flexible for ad hoc shifts to cover shops are required.</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> Up to 37 hours per week</p><p><strong>Disclosure:</strong> Child Enhanced DBS required</p><p> </p><h3> </h3><h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3><p>We are looking for a flexible and motivated <strong>Shop Managers</strong> to provide ad hoc cover across our charity shops throughout London. This is a hands-on role, involving the day-to-day running of stores, helping to maximise sales, manage stock effectively, and lead teams of dedicated volunteers.</p><p>Due to working alongside volunteers under 18 years old, an <strong>Enhanced DBS check with children's barred list</strong> is required.</p><h3> </h3><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Daily shop operations, including opening and closing the store, following handover requirements.</li><li>Drive sales and promote excellent customer service.</li><li>Manage stock and donations, including pricing, rotation, merchandising, and visual standards.</li><li>Supervise, motivate, and support a team of volunteers, including under-18s</li><li>Ensure health &amp; safety and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.</li><li>Step in to cover absences/holidays across London stores as required.</li></ul><h3><strong>About You</strong></h3><ul><li>Previous experience in retail, preferably within charity or value retail.</li><li>Confident supervising others and leading by example, previous managerial experience preferred.</li><li>Flexible and reliable, with the ability to travel across London, on occassion at short notice.</li><li>Strong organisational and communication skills.</li><li>Passionate about supporting charitable causes and community engagement.</li></ul><h3><strong>What We Offer</strong></h3><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate of <strong>£13.85</strong></li><li>Varied work across multiple London locations</li><li>Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a charity sector role</li><li>Supportive team environment with dedicated volunteers</li></ul><p><strong>Please note:</strong> Appointment is subject to a satisfactory <strong>Child Enhanced DBS disclosure</strong>.</p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
