<h1><strong>Toilet Cleansing Operative (Driver)</strong></h1><p><strong>Location:</strong> Brighton, BN3</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> On‑going Temporary</p><p><strong>Pay:</strong> £13.90-£18.38 per hour (PAYE)</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> 08:00-20:30, 4 days on / 4 days off</p><p>We are seeking a reliable and hands‑on <strong>Toilet Cleansing Operative (Driver)</strong> to support the cleaning and maintenance of public toilet facilities across Brighton. This role is essential in helping maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of key city locations.</p><hr /><h2><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></h2><h3><strong>Driving &amp; Site Servicing</strong></h3><ul><li>Safely drive a council vehicle between public toilet sites across Brighton.</li><li>Deliver cleaning stock and supplies to sites as required.</li><li>Carry out daily vehicle safety checks (oil, water, tyres, lights, etc.).</li><li>Complete electronic and paper defect logs accurately.</li><li>Ensure the vehicle is cleaned, emptied, fuelled/charged, and ready each day.</li></ul><h3><strong>Cleaning &amp; Maintenance</strong></h3><ul><li>Clean public toilet facilities to a high standard, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and removing waste and needles.</li><li>Open and close sites at scheduled times.</li><li>Use cleaning tools and machinery in line with safety guidance.</li><li>Dispose of waste safely and correctly in accordance with regulations.</li></ul><h3><strong>Communication &amp; Reporting</strong></h3><ul><li>Maintain contact with the Operations Manager throughout your shift via radio or phone.</li><li>Report incidents such as accidents or anti‑social behaviour before the end of your shift.</li><li>Deliver excellent customer service and present a professional image at all times.</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>What You'll Need</strong></h2><ul><li>A <strong>clean, valid UK driving licence</strong> (essential).</li><li>Good communication skills and the ability to manage interactions with the public.</li><li>Physical fitness - able to lift heavy items and work outdoors in all weather.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Experience delivering high‑quality service in a customer‑focused environment.</li><li>Understanding of Health &amp; Safety (training provided).</li><li>Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>Who We're Looking For</strong></h2><p>A reliable, proactive individual who:</p><ul><li>Works well independently</li><li>Is adaptable, observant, and safety‑minded</li><li>Takes pride in keeping public spaces clean and welcoming</li></ul><p> </p><p>If interested, please apply online today!</p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
