The Role:

As Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital kitchen, ensuring exceptional food standards, compliance, and team leadership. You'll play a vital role in supporting patient wellbeing through carefully planned and prepared meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen and catering operations
• Plan and deliver nutritious, well-balanced menus tailored to patient and staff needs
• Ensure full compliance with food safety (HACCP), allergen management, and health & safety standards
• Manage stock control, ordering, and budget effectively
• Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing catering team
• Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and service delivery
• Build strong working relationships with healthcare staff and stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role
• Background in healthcare, education, or contract catering environments (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and kitchen management systems
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• A proactive, organised, and hands-on approach
• Relevant culinary qualifications
