Chef - Newton Abbot Contract Catering

£14.91 per hour | 37 Hours Over 4 Days | No Late Nights | Work-Life Balance Role

We are recruiting for a dedicated Chef to join our contract catering team within a busy contract catering site near Newton Abbot. This role offers excellent work-life balance with no late nights, set working days, and the opportunity to prepare fresh, nutritious meals that make a real difference.

An Enhanced DBS is required and will be completed by us.

Key Information

• Hourly Rate: £14.91
• Hours: 37 hours across 4 days - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• Flexibility to cover holiday & sickness
• Earliest start: 7:00am
• Latest finish: 7:00pm (shifts fall within these hours)
• Location: Newton Abbot
• Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Producing dishes to the required standard
• Ensuring excellent food safety, hygiene, and allergen controls
• Supporting, developing, and training kitchen colleagues
• Delivering high‑quality meals

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a similar chef role
• Qualified to NVQ Level 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent
• Passion for fresh food and great service
• Positive, enthusiastic approach
• Someone who enjoys working in a caring, supportive environment
