What you'll be doing

• Running your section confidently (grill, pastry, larder, sauces, etc.)
• Preparing, cooking and presenting high‑quality dishes
• Supporting, guiding and delegating to junior kitchen staff
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP)
• Managing portion control and reducing waste
• Adapting to different kitchens and cuisines

What we're looking for

• Strong cooking skills and attention to detail
• Experience in busy professional kitchens
• A calm, positive approach under pressure
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A passion for great food and learning new techniques

Qualifications / Experience

• City & Guilds 706/1 or 706/2, or NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Level 1 & 2 Food Safety
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience
• Knowledge of manual handling, COSHH and kitchen equipment
• Good spoken and written English

Desired (not essential):

Level 2 Health & Safety, Level 3 Food Safety
