Pay: £17-£20 per hour (Depending on experience, role & environment)
We're expanding our team of Enhanced DBS Chefs and Cooks across Nottinghamshire to support a range of sites, including schools, nurseries, care homes and retirement villages. Whether you're looking for full‑time hours or flexible part‑time shifts, we have a variety of assignments available - from short‑notice sickness cover to longer-term placements.
Important DBS Requirement
To work in these environments, you must hold an Enhanced DBS (Adult, Child or Adult & Child workforce) dated within 12 months or registered on the Update Service.

🔪 What You'll Be Doing
- Working as part of a supportive kitchen team
- Preparing and cooking nutritious meals
- Following dietary requirements including IDDSI texture diets
- Managing food orders (role dependent - e.g., Chef Manager/Head Chef)
- Ensuring "clean as you go" procedures are followed
- Supporting with pot wash and general kitchen duties
- Complying with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
- Potentially serving food or operating a till
✔️ What We're Looking For
- Previous Chef or Cook experience
- Flexibility to cover a range of shifts
- Strong communication & teamwork skills
- Level 2 Food Hygiene & Health & Safety (ideal but training can be provided)
- Passion for delivering quality food
- Willingness to cover last‑minute sickness shifts
- Experience with IDDSI diets (advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Full UK driving licence & own transport (for certain locations)
- Enhanced DBS - essential
⏰ Hours & Working Patterns
Your rota is completely flexible - you choose your availability each week.
Typical shift patterns:
- Schools/Nurseries: 7/8am - 2/3pm
- Care/Nursing Homes: 6/7am - 4/5pm
