Salary: £39,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Weeks: 52 weeks per year

Shifts: Straight shifts - 06:00-14:30, 08:00-16:00, or 10:30-19:00

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hospitality Chef to lead high‑quality, fresh‑food catering within an energetic education environment in Worthing. This unique role offers the opportunity to combine large‑scale school catering with the creativity and finesse required for a high‑end wedding and events venue.

You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to:

• 600 pupils
• 200 staff
• 70 nursery children

All produced from one central kitchen supported by a team of 10.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing fresh, nutritious, and appealing meals for pupils, staff, and nursery services
• Leading and mentoring a team within a busy, fast‑paced kitchen
• Delivering high‑quality catering for weddings, events, and hospitality functions
• Maintaining excellent food safety, allergen management, and hygiene standards
• Contributing to menu planning and innovative food concepts
• Working straight shifts with no split shifts

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong fresh‑food cooking experience
• Background in volume catering and working under pressure
• Experience in hospitality or event catering, ideally at high-end level
• A passion for quality, presentation, and delivering exceptional service
• Great communication and organisational skills
• A hands‑on, positive, team‑focused attitude
