Role: Building Services Design Engineer - Heating SystemsLocation: FalkirkDuration: 12 Months (temp to perm) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Building Services Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical and/or electrical building services across a wide range of construction projects. You will work closely with architects, structural engineers, project managers, and clients to develop efficient, sustainable, and compliant building services solutions. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Produce detailed mechanical and/or electrical building services designs, drawings, and specifications. </li><li>Undertake engineering calculations, load assessments, and energy modelling as required. </li><li>Contribute to the development of sustainable, low carbon building solutions. </li><li>Manage design deliverables through all project stages-from concept to construction. </li><li>Carry out site surveys, inspections, and technical reviews. </li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and attend project meetings. </li><li>Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. </li><li>Support junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. </li></ul> Essential Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul><li>Degree (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. </li><li>Proven experience in a building services consultancy or design engineering role. </li><li>Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE Guides, and industry standards. </li><li>Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp, or equivalent. </li><li>Ability to produce clear, accurate technical documentation. </li><li>Excellent problem solving and communication skills. </li></ul> Desirable Qualifications <ul><li>Training or certification in sustainability and energy efficiency (e.g., Low Carbon Consultant, Low Carbon Designer, BREEAM). </li></ul> For more information and immediate consideration please apply directly to this advertisementBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
