Talent Acquisition Officer (Maternity Cover)Location: DartfordHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmStart Date: ASAPContract Length: 14 - 18 months <hr /><h3>About the Role</h3>We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Officer to join our HR and Business Support team on a maternity cover contract. This role is responsible for attracting, sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified candidates to meet both current and future workforce needs.The successful candidate will play a key role in building a strong talent pipeline, delivering an excellent candidate experience, and supporting employer branding initiatives across the business.The HR and Business Support team supports the smooth operation of the business by overseeing people, facilities, IT, telecoms, mobiles, fleet, and general operational support.<hr /><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates while reducing recruitment spend where possible</li><li>Source candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, and internal databases, alongside recruitment agencies where required</li><li>Manage and maintain the Teamdash recruitment system across the business</li><li>Screen CVs and assess candidate suitability against essential role criteria</li><li>Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers</li><li>Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job requisition through to offer acceptance</li><li>Ensure all references, interview scoring, and recruitment documentation are completed in line with internal procedures</li><li>Prepare and issue job offers and support salary negotiations within approved guidelines</li><li>Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant tracking systems</li><li>Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline for future hiring needs</li><li>Support employer branding initiatives, career fairs, and recruitment events</li><li>Ensure recruitment activities comply with internal policies and relevant regulations</li><li>Provide recruitment metrics and reports to management, including vacancy status, talent pipeline strength, and recruitment spend</li><li>Work closely with managers to understand recruitment needs and provide insight into recruitment performance</li><li>Identify recruitment trends and opportunities for process improvement alongside the HR Manager</li><li>Ensure probationary reviews are completed and escalate any concerns where necessary</li></ul><hr /><h3>Skills &amp; Experience Required</h3><ul><li>Experience in a talent acquisition or recruitment role</li><li>Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously</li><li>Strong organisational and time management skills</li><li>Negotiation and stakeholder management abilities</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems</li><li>High level of professionalism and confidentiality</li></ul> Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
