Location: Field‑based across multiple UK sites

A long‑established UK property operator is looking for a versatile General Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep of a diverse portfolio of commercial buildings. You'll be carrying out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance across storage sites, office spaces, and small retail units.

If you're someone who enjoys varied, hands‑on work with a stable schedule and room to grow, this is a great fit.

What You'll Get

  • Monday-Friday daytime hours
  • Company vehicle or 40p per mile mileage allowance
  • 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Your birthday off
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Free storage unit for you or your family
  • Employee rewards & recognition
  • £250 referral incentive

What You'll Be Doing

You'll handle a broad range of general maintenance duties, including:

  • General building repairs, including cladding and roofing
  • Basic plumbing
  • Joinery and carpentry
  • Tiling
  • Painting and decorating
  • Carpet fitting / minor flooring works
  • Paving and small civils
  • Drainage works
  • Grounds maintenance and site clearance
  • Pressure washing
  • Furniture assembly and removals

No two days are the same, and you'll be supporting multiple sites as part of a growing facilities team.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a building trade or property maintenance role
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating
  • Roofing/cladding experience (desirable)
  • CSCS card (desirable)
  • Confident using IT systems to log work and manage costs
  • Strong organisational skills to meet KPI/SLA targets
  • Good understanding of H&S, including hazard identification and point‑of‑work risk assessments
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to work independently and communicate clearly with site teams

Right to Work: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
