Salary: £12.31/hour

Join our dedicated team and play a vital role in helping vulnerable adults access the support, activities, and care they rely on every day.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Safely collect and transport clients - including older adults and individuals with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities - to Adult/Day Care facilities, classes, outings, and community events.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (fuel, oil, water, tyres, cleaning, minor repairs, puncture changes).
• Operate tail lifts safely (full training provided).
• Ensure wheelchair users are secured using approved restraint systems.
• Maintain accurate daily and monthly vehicle logs, including mileage, fuel usage, passenger numbers, and loading details.
• Support with loading/unloading and deliver essential supplies such as meals, bedding, equipment, laundry, and other items as required.

Caring & Client Support

• Assist clients with mobility and comfort needs, including boarding and exiting the vehicle, supporting wheelchair users, and small tasks like fastening clothing or switching off appliances.
• Provide minor first aid when needed (no certificate required).
• Support Care Assistants during day centre activities, outings, and functions (e.g., serving meals).
• Assist in emergency evacuations and provide transport support alongside the ambulance service.

What You Need

• Enhanced Access NI
• Category D (bus) Licence with no restrictions
• Valid CPC Card
