Junior Sous Chef - Boutique Hotel - Honiton

£16.53 per hour (including tronc) - 40 hours per week - Overtime Paid - Fresh Food Kitchen

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join a reputable, fresh‑food hotel kitchen in Honiton. If you're a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up, or an experienced Junior Sous looking for a new challenge, this role offers stability, development, and a supportive team environment.

Key Details:

  • £16.53 per hour (tronc included in rate)
  • 40 hours per week

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience as a Junior Sous Chef or a confident Chef de Partie ready to progress
  • Strong background in fresh, seasonal cooking
  • Ability to support the senior team with kitchen management and service
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to lead a section consistently
  • A positive, hands‑on approach with excellent communication skills
  • Passion for maintaining high standards and developing junior chefs

Your Role:

  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Lead your own section to a high standard during service
  • Assist with menu preparation and ensure dishes are delivered with consistency and creativity
  • Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards
  • Help train and mentor junior members of the brigade
  • Ensure smooth service and contribute to a professional, team‑focused environment
