You'll act as a role model within the Early Years team, ensuring that every child's individual needs are met and that families feel welcomed, informed, and supported.</p><p>This role is varied and hands‑on - perfect for someone enthusiastic about early years education and dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for children.</p><hr /><h2>🌱 <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><h3><strong>Early Years Practice</strong></h3><ul><li>Deliver high‑quality care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).</li><li>Act as a key person, observing, planning, and evaluating children's development.</li><li>Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through regular communication.</li><li>Support room initiatives and contribute to nursery development projects.</li><li>Maintain accurate records and uphold excellent safeguarding practice.</li><li>Support and work towards achieving high standards in room audits and inspections.</li></ul><h3><strong>People &amp; Teamwork</strong></h3><ul><li>Work collaboratively within the team, promoting equality, inclusion, and respect.</li><li>Assist with staff induction and support colleagues to ensure consistency of care.</li><li>Help the management team maintain staffing ratios at all times.</li></ul><h3><strong>Health &amp; Safety</strong></h3><ul><li>Follow all health and safety procedures and promote safe working practices.</li><li>Proactively identify and manage risks within the nursery environment.</li></ul><h3><strong>Family Experience &amp; Marketing</strong></h3><ul><li>Support open days, events, and marketing activities as needed.</li><li>Contribute positively to show rounds by presenting a professional and welcoming environment.</li><li>Participate in social media and promotional activities when required.</li></ul><h3><strong>Environment &amp; Maintenance</strong></h3><ul><li>Look after equipment and resources, reporting any issues promptly.</li><li>Ensure supplies and materials are well‑stocked and readily available.</li></ul><hr /><h2>🎓 <strong>Person Specification</strong></h2><h3><strong>Essential</strong></h3><ul><li>Full and relevant Early Years qualification</li><li>Strong working knowledge of the EYFS</li><li>Awareness of Ofsted requirements</li><li>Experience working in a team</li><li>Customer service experience</li><li>Good understanding of health &amp; safety</li><li>Knowledge of equal opportunities legislation</li><li>Safeguarding training</li><li>Paediatric first aid</li><li>Satisfactory enhanced DBS check</li></ul><h3><strong>Desirable</strong></h3><ul><li>Previous experience working in a similar role</li></ul><hr /><h2>🟦 <strong>Safeguarding &amp; Compliance</strong></h2><p>We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
