Are you passionate about giving children the best start in life? We're looking for a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our friendly team and help create a safe, inspiring, and nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

About the Role

As a Nursery Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality childcare and supporting the day‑to‑day running of the nursery. You'll act as a role model within the Early Years team, ensuring that every child's individual needs are met and that families feel welcomed, informed, and supported.

This role is varied and hands‑on - perfect for someone enthusiastic about early years education and dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for children.


🌱 Key Responsibilities

Early Years Practice

  • Deliver high‑quality care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Act as a key person, observing, planning, and evaluating children's development.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through regular communication.
  • Support room initiatives and contribute to nursery development projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold excellent safeguarding practice.
  • Support and work towards achieving high standards in room audits and inspections.

People & Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively within the team, promoting equality, inclusion, and respect.
  • Assist with staff induction and support colleagues to ensure consistency of care.
  • Help the management team maintain staffing ratios at all times.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and promote safe working practices.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks within the nursery environment.

Family Experience & Marketing

  • Support open days, events, and marketing activities as needed.
  • Contribute positively to show rounds by presenting a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Participate in social media and promotional activities when required.

Environment & Maintenance

  • Look after equipment and resources, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Ensure supplies and materials are well‑stocked and readily available.

🎓 Person Specification

Essential

  • Full and relevant Early Years qualification
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Awareness of Ofsted requirements
  • Experience working in a team
  • Customer service experience
  • Good understanding of health & safety
  • Knowledge of equal opportunities legislation
  • Safeguarding training
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS check

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
