<h1><strong>Building Control Officers</strong></h1><p><strong>Location:</strong> Manchester Embankment, M3</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> 40 hours per week</p><p><strong>Shifts:</strong> Split shift - <strong>7:00am-3:30pm</strong> and <strong>10:30pm-7:00am</strong></p><p><strong>Rate:</strong> £13.46 per hour</p><p><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Temp to Perm (after 2 months)</p><p><strong>Start Date:</strong> <strong>9th March</strong></p><p><strong>Clearance Required:</strong> BPSS (required for working onsite at Manchester Embankment)</p><hr /><h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2><p>We are recruiting <strong>2 Building Control Officers (BCOs)</strong> to support the facilities and operational functions at a brand‑new office site at Manchester Embankment. The role is ideal for individuals who are confident with computer‑based work, managing tasks, and supporting day‑to‑day building operations.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Training Requirements</strong></h2><p>Although the permanent base for this role is Manchester Embankment, successful candidates must complete <strong>several weeks of training at Newton‑le‑Willows</strong>.</p><ul><li>Candidates <strong>can begin training before BPSS clearance is fully completed</strong>.</li><li>BPSS must be completed before transitioning to the Manchester Embankment site.</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Manage and close tasks within the facilities management system</li><li>Support daily operational activities across the building</li><li>Coordinate and record job updates using digital systems</li><li>Maintain compliance with site processes and safety procedures</li><li>Work collaboratively with the site and management team</li><li>Provide general facilities‑focused support as required</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></h2><ul><li>Experience in facilities, building operations, or similar roles (preferred)</li><li>Strong IT literacy and confidence with digital systems</li><li>Excellent communication and organisational skills</li><li>Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently</li><li>Flexibility to work across early and night split shifts</li><li>Willing to complete BPSS clearance before operating onsite</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>What We Offer</strong></h2><ul><li>Competitive rate of £13.46 per hour</li><li>40‑hour week with split shift pattern</li><li>Temp‑to‑perm potential after 2 months</li><li>Full training provided at Newton‑le‑Willows</li><li>Opportunity to work at a new, high‑profile site</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>How to Apply</strong></h2><p>Please submit your CV to apply.
