Need to attend site visits on a regularly basisJob PurposeThe post‑holder will be responsible for protecting tenants, improving housing conditions, ensuring landlord compliance and delivering early interventions to prevent homelessnessMain Duties and Responsibilities* Mentor Housing Standards/Renewal Officers to help deliver high-quality investigative and enforcement work.* Investigate complaints and assess whether landlords are complying with housing legislation, advising tenants and others on rights and available remedies.* Undertake property inspections and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments to identify hazards, enforcement needs and other regulatory requirements, such as mandatory HMO licensing.* Gather evidence, conduct PACE interviews, prepare legal enforcement files and apply the enforcement policy.* Enforce regulatory controls for housing standards, including HMO licensing, empty homes standards and disrepair.* Prepare and carry out enforcement actions including improvement notices, prohibition orders, civil penalties and prosecutions.* Work with the Housing Options team on cases involving illegal evictions, harassment and unlawful landlord behaviour. * Manage an investigative caseload ensuring lawful, proportionate and timely assessment and enforcement in line with relevant policies, guidance and regulation.* Contribute to the development of operational policies, procedures and guidance for housing regulatory functions.* Maintain effective partnership arrangements with internal and external partners including Police, Fire Service, health providers, social care and voluntary agencies.* Represent the Council at case conferences, multi-agency meetings and partnership forums related to housing standards.Looking for candidate to start asap.This role is working on a hybrid basis (3 days a week in the office) 37 hours per total, need access to their vehicle.Need to attend site visits on a regularly basis Apply today!Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.

Estates Administrator (Housing)Salary: £14.82 per hourLocation: The Civic Centre, Ex1Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Till September 2026PURPOSE OF JOB i) To co-ordinate and provide all aspects of technical and administration support to the Estates Services Unit; ii) To maintain the corporate Asset Management system; iii) To supervise the Property Records Officer and the provision of the corporate property records functionMAIN ACTIVITIES 1. To provide full administrative and technical support to the Estates Services Unit to ensure the efficient day to day running of the Unit.2. To take the lead responsibility for the day to day operation and further development of the corporate Asset Management system.3. Produce rent, insurance, service charge and other fee invoices for commercially let properties.4. Day to day management and supervision of the Property Records Officer and the corporate property records service.5. To prepare and collate data and provide reports to the Finance Department to assist with budget monitoring;6. To devise and develop, under appropriate guidance, revised systems and procedures as appropriate (and in particular initiatives to replace paper based systems) and to assist with their implementation.7. Provide first point of contact for the Estates Unit and deal with routine enquiries.8. Carry out such required corporate-based administration tasks for the Estates Unit to include raising of purchase orders, creditor invoice processing and preparation and sending out of debtors invoices.9. Process valuation requests for Right to Buy applications to include: collating information received from Housing Services with appropriate valuation forms and plans and submitting to external valuers; monitoring progress of the valuations; returning completed valuations to Housing Services.10. Process requests for land purchase and covenant relaxations by researching property ownership and carrying out initial administrative work to include consultation with Officers of other departments in accordance with protocols.11. Provide training for all users of the corporate Asset Management system.12. Provide training to Unit staff in Unit procedures and use of other corporate systems.13. Ensure all administration work for the Estates Unit is undertaken in a timely manner so as to meet corporate deadlines.14. We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Housing Solutions Officer to join our team on a temporary basis.
