Blue Arrow is proud to be working in partnership with an Accountancy based company located within Nottingham and they are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.

.

Hours: 3 days per week (9:30am - 5:00pm) - please note initially role will be site based but after a successful period, the client can offer 1 day working from home.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

What does the Accounts & Payroll Assistant role involve?

Accounts

· Purchase Ledger - posting invoices and reconciliation

· Bank and Control Account Reconciliations

· Posting Journals

· VAT Returns

· Credit control

· Preparation of Trial Balance

· Admin Work

Payroll

· Processing payroll

· Monthly FPS submission

· Annual EPS submission

· Auto-enrolments

· Pension returns

· Re-declarations

What will you bring to the Accounts & Payroll Assistant role?

Our client is looking for somebody who is enthusiastic about providing informative accounting information which meet client requirements. You will be hardworking and flexible and demonstrates integrity and upholds values and principles. The ideal candidate will be a good listener, who is keen to learn, and be able to work on own and within groups. You will be ambitious to develop and progress, can think outside of the box, and also have a sense of humour with the below experience also required:

· At least 5 years previous experience within an accounts & payroll assistant role is essential

· Previous payroll experience is essential

· Previous bookkeeping experience is essential

· XERO experience required

· AAT qualified or part qualified

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word and Excel

· Strong analytical and written skills

· Adaptable and able to respond positively to change

· Ability to work to strict deadlines
