Catering AssistantLocation: WishawContract: Temporary on goingHours: Monday to Friday 15:45-19:45Hourly Rate: £13.32 per hour We are looking for dedicated, friendly, and reliable Catering Assistants to work in a busy hospital catering department. You will play an important role in supporting patient care by helping to prepare meals and delivering them safely and efficiently to wards. Job Description· Willingness to undergo a PVG Disclosure Check as this role involves direct contact with patients. This is a background check that reveals whether an individual is barred from working with vulnerable groups.<ul><li>Assist in the preparation of meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards</li><li>Portion and plate meals accurately for patients</li><li>Deliver food trolleys to wards and ensure meals reach patients on time</li><li>Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors</li><li>Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation in all catering areas</li><li>Operate equipment safely and follow all health &amp; safety, infection control, and food hygiene regulations</li><li>Support the wider catering team with general duties as required</li></ul> Skills <ul><li>A positive, can‑do attitude and a commitment to great service</li><li>Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Awareness of food hygiene-training will be provided</li><li>Reliability and a willingness to learn</li><li>Experience in catering, hospitality, or healthcare is an advantage but not essential</li></ul> If you are interested please apply with your CV or call our office on 01698 747 024 option 1.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
