<h1><strong>Management Accountant (Temporary)</strong></h1><p><strong>Location:</strong> Newport</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> <strong>£20-£23 per hour</strong></p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> Temporary</p><p> </p><hr /><h2>⭐ <strong>About the Role</strong></h2><p>We're recruiting an experienced <strong>Management Accountant</strong> to support a well‑established organisation in Newport during a period of transition. This role offers hands‑on involvement across reporting, budgeting, cashflow, pricing analysis and statutory compliance. You'll be a key member of the finance team, helping ensure smooth continuity of core financial processes.</p><hr /><h2>🔍 <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Complete all required reporting for the central finance team accurately and on time.</li><li>Manage the Budget Holder reporting process, including variance analysis and commentary.</li><li>Monitor expenditure against budgets and support accountability across departments.</li><li>Produce accurate and timely management accounts.</li><li>Maintain a live cashflow forecast and report variances.</li><li>Liaise with internal and external auditors.</li><li>Carry out pricing walk analysis including discount, rebate and promotion viability.</li><li>Ensure Master Data accuracy and support updates.</li><li>Produce clear and well‑presented financial information for stakeholders.</li><li>Submit required data to external stakeholders (National Statistics, PWC for Czech VAT and Intrastat).</li><li>Complete monthly control account and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Complete VAT and other statutory returns.</li><li>Support the wider finance team with ad‑hoc tasks as needed.</li></ul><hr /><h2>✅ <strong>What You'll Bring</strong></h2><ul><li>Strong experience in Management Accounting.</li><li>Clear communication skills and confidence presenting financial information.</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong systems and data handling skills.</li></ul><hr /><h2>🎯 <strong>What's on Offer</strong></h2><ul><li>A varied and influential temporary role.</li><li>Opportunity to make an immediate impact.</li><li>Supportive team environment.</li><li><strong>£20-£23 per hour</strong> depending on experience.</li><li>Monday-Friday working hours (8am-5pm).</li></ul><p> </p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
