Event Chef - Up to £30,000 - Catering Company - Southampton
Essential: You must drive and have your own transport.
Although the main base is in Southampton, you will regularly travel across Hampshire for events.
A full UK driving licence is required, as you will need to drive company vans.
About the Role
A dynamic and expanding event catering company near Southampton is seeking an Event Chef to join their talented team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a business renowned for delivering exceptional service and high‑quality cuisine at a wide range of events.
This role offers variety every week:
- Prep days are structured, daytime hours in the production kitchen
- Event days involve travelling to venues and running the event from start to finish
Summer months are the busiest and will include evenings and weekends, while winter offers more time back in lieu and a balanced schedule.
You will receive excellent opportunities for career progression, ongoing development, and a salary review after successfully completing your 3‑month probation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to company standards
- Deliver food service in the correct format and style for each event
- Maintain high levels of quality, consistency, and portion control
- Manage stock levels and ensure accurate ordering
- Uphold all health & safety and food hygiene requirements
- Represent the company professionally at events
What You Need to Succeed
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Creativity and a passion for food and events
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous)
- Full driving licence and own transport (essential)
