Part-Time Cook / Chef - Care Home - Central New Milton

£14.00 per hour * 32 hours per week * Wednesday-Saturday * 8am-4pm

Are you an experienced cook or chef looking for a rewarding role with a healthy work-life balance?

Our care home in Central New Milton is seeking a reliable and confident Part-Time Cook to join our team.

You will be responsible for independently preparing and cooking meals for 19 residents, ensuring high-quality, nutritious food is delivered every day.


Key Information

  • Salary: £14.00 per hour
  • Hours: 32 hours per week
  • Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
  • Shift Times: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Location: Central New Milton
  • Environment: Cooking alone in a friendly care home kitchen

Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals to an agreed standard for 19 residents
  • Plan and manage daily meal production independently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are followed
  • Manage stock rotation and basic ordering as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef, ideally in a care home or similar environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage a small kitchen
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergens
  • Good knowledge of ingredients and basic cooking methods
  • Positive, dependable, and approachable manner
