We are looking for a practical, resourceful, and detail-driven Installation Technician to join our client. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality installations for our commercial clients, ensuring every piece is installed safely, securely, and beautifully. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the confidence to make decisions on-site while maintaining excellent communication with colleagues and clients.

Scope of the Role

As an Installation Technician, you will work on-site at luxury hotels, restaurants, and hospitality venues across the UK and occasionally overseas. You'll handle everything from framed artwork and mirrors to large-scale sculptural pieces and bespoke wall coverings. When not on-site, you'll support production in our workshop, applying or learning carpentry, framing, and finishing skills.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Installation

  • Install 2D and 3D artworks, including framed pieces, mirrors, sculptural elements, and wall claddings, using safe and appropriate fixing methods.
  • Assist with wallpaper and vinyl installations (training provided).
  • Ensure all tools, materials, and supplies are prepared before departure for installations.
  • Communicate clearly with Project Managers to confirm requirements and update on progress or changes.
  • Always maintain professional standards and client-focused service.

Workshop Support

  • Contribute to production tasks when not on-site, including carpentry, picture framing, and decorative finishing.
  • Follow health and safety protocols in all environments, including correct PPE use, manual handling, and safe operation of ladders and scaffolding.

Travel & Logistics

  • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Be prepared for overnight stays as required for installations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Clean driving licence (essential).
  • Practical experience in installation, joinery, or similar hands-on roles preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to think ahead.
  • Physical and emotional capacity to handle demanding installation work.
  • Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Personal Attributes

  • Up for it - enthusiastic and ready to take on challenges.
  • Figure it out - resourceful and able to think things through under pressure.
  • Can-do attitude - positive and solutions-focused.
  • Consistently reliable and dependable.
  • Strong communicator and natural relationship builder.
  • Calm under pressure with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
  • Eager to learn and grow within the role.
