You will play a key role in monitoring production processes, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the integrity and safety of our products.</p><h3><span style="font-size: 11pt; color: windowtext; text-decoration: underline;">Main Responsibilities</span></h3><ul><li>Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using established analytical techniques (e.g., FPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, titration, wet chemistry).</li><li>Interpret and report analytical results accurately, maintaining detailed and organised records in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and company SOPs.</li><li>Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are functioning optimally and maintaining calibration logs as required.</li><li>Participate in method development, method validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise laboratory performance.</li><li>Conduct investigations into non-conforming results and work collaboratively to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and review of technical documents such as SOPs, test methods, specifications, and validation protocols.</li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, data, and explanations regarding laboratory practices and results.</li><li>Ensure all laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and research and development, to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.</li><li>Stay current with advances in analytical techniques, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.</li></ul><h3><span style="font-size: 11pt; color: windowtext; text-decoration: underline;">Requirements</span></h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.</li><li>Familiarity with analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR) and associated software.</li><li>Strong understanding of GLP, GMP, or ISO standards as applicable to the industry.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.</li><li>Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, and ability to convey technical information clearly.</li><li>Problem-solving skills and an investigative mindset.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li><li>Proficient in using standard office and laboratory software (e.g., Microsoft Office, LIMS).</li></ul><h3><span style="font-size: 11pt; color: windowtext; text-decoration: underline;">Desirable Skills</span></h3><ul><li>Experience with method development and validation.</li><li>Knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory submissions and documentation (e.g., MHRA, FDA, EMA).</li><li>Previous experience in root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes.</li><li>Additional language skills are an advantage.</li></ul><p> </p><p>If you feel you would be suitable for the above role, please submit your CV for immediate response.</p><p>Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.</p>
