☕ Coffee Shop Assistant Manager - Leisure Site, Christchurch (£30,000 + Great Work-Life Balance)

Our Christchurch leisure site is home to a warm, welcoming coffee shop that prides itself on great service, quality drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. We are looking for a barista‑trained Assistant Manager to support our Coffee Shop Manager and help lead a positive, customer‑focused team.

This role offers a £30,000 salary and a genuine work-life balance, with sociable hours and a supportive working environment.

🌟 About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key part in the smooth running of the coffee shop, stepping up to lead in the Manager's absence. Your passion for great coffee, excellent service, and strong team leadership will help create an exceptional visitor experience.

🔧 Responsibilities

* Supervise and co‑ordinate daily coffee shop operations

* Train, mentor, and support team members

* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation

* Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally

* Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

* Prepare and serve high‑quality food and beverages

* Assist with rota planning and performance management

* Support recruitment and staff development

* Contribute to events and promotional activities to boost engagement

🎯 Candidate Requirements

* Previous hospitality experience, ideally with at least 1 year in a supervisory role

* Barista‑trained with hands‑on coffee experience

* Strong organisational and multitasking skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

* Confident team leader with a positive, motivating attitude

* Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment

* Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
