Production Operative

👷‍♂️ Production Operatives - Shape, Build, Inspect and Create!

Location: Derby, DE23 (close to the city centre)

Shifts: Days OR Afternoons set shifts, (being open to both is a big advantage)

💰 Pay Rates:

• Days: £12.78 per hour
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
• Afternoons: £13.62 per hour
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm

Contract: Temp to perm opportunities available for the right person

We are recruiting Production Operatives who enjoy hands on work, using tools, machinery and helping to build high quality products. 🔧 What You Will Be Doing:

Here is a snapshot of the work involved in this role.

* Vacuum forming materials into the correct shapes and sizes

* Picking and packing finished products

* Assembling industrial filters with accuracy

* Operating and monitoring production machinery

* Cleaning your workstation to maintain a safe and tidy area

* Completing visual quality checks

* Supporting the end to end production of finished products

* Using hand tools throughout your shift

This is an active role where you will be on your feet and using your hands for most of the shift.

💪 The Ideal Candidate:

You will be a great fit if you:

* Have at least 3 years experience in production or manufacturing

* Are confident using hand tools and machinery

* Can read and understand technical drawings

* Have strong English and numeracy skills

* Enjoy working as part of a team

* Are reliable, hardworking and safety aware

* Can carry out manual handling tasks

* Have strong attention to detail

* Are flexible and open to learning new areas

Training is provided, but previous hands on experience is essential.
