Manager - American Diner / Waffle House

Location: Fareham

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: From £29,000

Hours: All evenings off

  • Midweek & Sunday: 9am-4pm
  • Friday & Saturday: 9am-6pm
  • 5 days per week

We are a newly established American-style diner offering classic comfort food in a relaxed, friendly setting. As a growing business, we're focused on building strong service standards, developing a great team culture, and delivering a consistently enjoyable guest experience.

Role Summary

As Manager, your role is to lead all daily operations, ensuring excellent service, smooth running of the venue, and a positive atmosphere for guests and staff.

This is a visible, hands‑on role where you lead from the front, motivate the team, and maintain high standards throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all front‑of‑house operations
  • Maintain consistently high service and guest experience standards
  • Recruit, train, and support team members
  • Create staff rotas aligned with business needs
  • Oversee stock control and ordering
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety requirements
  • Handle guest feedback professionally
  • Work closely with the kitchen and operational leadership

About You

  • Proven experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles
  • Confident leading teams in a fast-paced, food-led environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good understanding of labour control, stock management, and financial reporting
  • Calm, solutions‑focused, and positive under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Eligible to work in the UK
