Assistant Manager - Fareham

Full-Time | Permanent | From £31,000 P/A

About the Restaurant/Pub

We are a newly established restaurant/pub offering American-inspired comfort food in a relaxed, informal setting. As a growing operation, we're focused on building strong service standards, a positive team culture, and delivering a consistently enjoyable guest experience.

Role Summary

We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of the entire venue. This is a varied, practical role covering front of house, kitchen support, service delivery, compliance, and team leadership.

Working closely with the Manager and the Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards, supporting the team, and helping the business continue to grow. This is a visible, service-led leadership role that requires the ability to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operation of the whole site, including FOH, kitchen, and guest areas
  • Assist with opening, service, and closing procedures
  • Lead shifts and provide hands-on support during busy periods
  • Support staff training, supervision, and rota planning
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and delivery checks
  • Support basic financial reporting and labour management
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Deliver excellent guest service and handle feedback professionally

This is a 7‑day‑a‑week operation, so flexibility is essential to support the team and business needs throughout the year.

What We Offer

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Opportunity to grow with a developing hospitality business
  • Broad, hands-on management experience across the entire operation
  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative working environment

Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
