Reports to: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Salary: From £28,600 (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full Time

Accommodation: Live‑in available


The Role

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Pub Chef to join our friendly kitchen team. Working in a small, welcoming pub environment, you will play a key role in delivering fresh, high‑quality dishes while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, consistency, and teamwork.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on Chef who enjoys a close‑knit team, takes pride in well-executed dishes, and thrives in a busy but supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook fresh, high‑quality dishes in line with menu standards
  • Maintain excellent food presentation, quality, and consistency
  • Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
  • Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
  • Assist with stock control, deliveries, and minimising food waste
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal or daily specials
  • Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure efficient service

About You

  • Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a similar kitchen role
  • Confident working independently in a small kitchen
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certification
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends
